Mission Statement of the Homelessness Committee:
The Studio City Homeless Committee represents all citizens of Studio City by listening to the
public comments during committee meetings by the people of our community.
After hearing the overall voice of the stakeholders, the committee will evaluate, develop, plan,
and implement programs and initiatives to help resolve homelessness in Studio City. The voice
of the committee is represented by Motions and Community Impact Statements (CIS) presented
to the Studio City Neighborhood Council. The Studio City Neighborhood Council gives the final
vote of approval.
The committee will empower Studio City stakeholders through the coordination of educational
events, community projects and volunteer activities. The committee will help support volunteer
activities that create a positive impact to the Studio City homeless population.
Committee members will act as a community liaison with SPA 2 provider La Family Housing,
elected officials, departments, agencies and resources to help ensure that government funding for
homeless initiatives are being directed to Studio City. The committee is to assist holding
accountable those that are not performing as they should for both those housed and unhoused
alike.
