Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and join the Studio City Neighborhood Council, along with Council District 4 and Council District 2, as we celebrate National Hispanic Hertage Month with a showing of Encanto.

Nithya Raman is scheduled to speak, and free food will be served (be sure to get your ticket at the SCNC tent).

See you this Saturday.

Wildfire Safety Fair this weekend

Join Council District 4, the Los Angeles Fire Department, LADWP, and MySafe LA for a Wildfire Safety Fair, with food, music, and activities for all ages on Saturday, September 17 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Participants will be able to hop from booth to booth to learn about wildfire safety and preparedness and gather stamps for their ‘Safety Passports’ — prizes will be given to those who get all stamps!

Due to both the possibility of inclement weather, as well as the probability of unsafe, muddy conditions at the park, this Saturday's Movies In The Park screening of Encanto has been postponed.

A second date will be announced shortly when the SCNC, CD4 and LA Parks finalize details.

CERT/NTP Emergency Deployment Drill this Saturday in Studio City

Your Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Neighborhood Team Program (NTP) is hosting our next Neighborhood Staging and Deployment Pop-Up Drill in the Studio City area!

These drills will rotate around the City of Los Angeles but all are welcome even if you don't live in the area or don't live in the City of Los Angeles.

Come join your community and NTP/CERT on Saturday, August 27th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The drill will start promptly at 5pm so please be here BEFORE 4:30pm to allow for time to sign in. The drill will end at 7pm and a 30 minute hot wash will be conducted immediately after. We expect to be out of there by no later than 7:30pm.

These drills will focus on following the Step-by-Step Guides found at

Location: Radford Studio Center - 4024 Radford Ave, Studio City, CA 91604.

These drills will be conducted in person but outside, there is a limited amount of parking on site.

LA ZOO Alternative 1.5 plan public hearing

The L.A. Zoo will be hosting a virtual public hearing on August 15th at 6PM to present the Alternative 1.5 plan.

National Night Out Tuesday August 2nd

This coming Tuesday August 2nd, join FOUR local Neighborhood Councils, Councilmember Krekorian and LAPD North Hollywood Division in celebrating #NationalNightOut . Food, refreshments, and lots of cool stuff will be on hand for the family to enjoy.

This week, we have our Sustainability Committee on Monday, with special guest speaker Charles Miller, ambassador for the International Climate Reality Project Leadership Corps.  Tuesday we have our first Ad Hoc Committee meeting for the Residences at Sportsman's Lodge. Thursday we have our Public Safety Committee meeting.

North Hollywood LAPD Open House
