Let There Be Light

LA’s Rec and Parks Department recently installed new solar lights along the LA River walking path between Whitsett and Coldwater Canyon.    They were installed after the previous lights were destroyed by vandalism.   The new lights above the walking path across from the LA River Greenway Trail are more resistant to vandalism because there is no valuable copper wire running through the light poles.
