This committee represents the various Ad Hoc meetings presented by the Studio City Neighborhood Council. Ad Hoc Committees facilitate a specific project that is not on-going.
If an Ad Hoc Committee is attached to a Standing Committee, that committee will be noted in parenthesis (). An Ad Hoc committee created via a Standing Committee may meet as many times as needed, but cannot present a motion directly to the Board. The motion must first be presented to the Standing Committee (and thus the stakeholders) and voted upon.
No Ad Hoc Committee may have more than 4 Board members (a voting majority of a quorum). If an Ad Hoc Committee contains a stakeholder as a member, the meeting must be agendized and placed on both our website calendar and our physical posting area (Radford Studio Center, both gates).
The Ad Hoc conducts its business by reviewing and prioritizing agenda requests for Board action (generally either in the form of a motion or letter) or announcements submitted by stakeholders, governmental entities and other interested individuals and organizations. The Administrative Committee has the discretion to postpone an request, refer it to a specific committee for review and recommendation, treat it as an announcement or consider and resolve it as a non-Board administrative matter.
