TUMO Los Angeles is now open! Councilmember Adrin Nazarian announced the launch of the first-ever TUMO Center in the United States — right here in Los Angeles. TUMO is a free, after-school program where teens take charge of their own education and build real-world skills for the future — no experience required. Built on TUMO’s one-of-a-kind learning model, the program combines self-paced digital projects with in-person workshops led by creative professionals. Students are guided by Learning Coaches and mentors as they create personalized learning paths based on their own interests and goals. At TUMO Los Angeles, young people ages 12–18 can explore cutting-edge fields like robotics, filmmaking, music production, animation, programming, game development, 3D modeling, and more — all at no cost. Instead of traditional exams or grades, students learn by doing, completing hands-on projects that help them build a personal portfolio they can take anywhere. Junior high and high school age students can enroll online. |
