VENTURA PARK AND RIDE UPGRADE/UPDATE
The long-neglected Ventura Park and Ride (Hollywood Bowl Shuttle) is undergoing a $3 million dollar upgrade thanks to LA County and a grant from the State of California. Once the site of one of the Valley’s biggest homeless encampments, the site has been completely transformed. During a presentation to the Studio City Neighborhood Council, the LA County of Public Works showed the work in progress. Set to open in November, the Ventura Park and Ride will now have more than 50 new trees, hundreds of native and drought tolerant plants, smart water-saving irrigation, biofiltration swales, ADA-compliant amenities, a security shack and security cameras.
