OPEN BOARD SEAT 

SCNC offers several distinct categories of Board seats, each designed to ensure comprehensive representation of our community’s diverse stakeholder groups. We are pleased to announce that a “Business Representative” seat has recently opened.

Below is the description of this category:

A Business Representative is defined as someone who (i) legally provides goods or services for compensation within Studio City and maintains a valid City of Los Angeles Tax Registration Certificate (commonly referred to as a City of Los Angeles business license), or (ii) owns business-related real property in Studio City.

Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings and participate in voting on committee motions, which are then forwarded to the appropriate elected officials. Additionally, Board members must engage with at least one committee and represent the Neighborhood Council (NC) at various community events throughout the two-year term. The role also involves interaction with elected officials at the City, County, and State levels on behalf of SCNC, along with outreach efforts to diverse stakeholder groups.
