Studio City Shines: Earth Day Cleanup a Massive Success!

 

Community spirit was on full display this morning as neighbors traded their Sunday sleep-in for trash grabbers and safety vests! More than 40 dedicated volunteers gathered at Vitello’s Restaurant for the Studio City Neighborhood Council (SCNC) Community Cleanup, proving that a little teamwork goes a long way in keeping our streets beautiful.

🤝 Leading the Charge

Special guest Councilmember Adrin Nazarian joined the front lines, working alongside his family and local residents to clear litter and beautify the neighborhood. He took a moment to personally thank everyone who showed up, emphasizing how vital these grassroots efforts are for the Second District.

🧤 Event Highlights

• Total Impact: More than 30 bags of litter were removed from the streets of Studio City.
• Community Support: After the hard work, volunteers enjoyed coffee and conversation, strengthening local bonds and neighborhood pride.
• Student Power: SCNC Outreach Chair Anrew Epstein was thrilled to host at least a dozen new volunteers and students earning their Community Service School Credit while giving back to the planet.

The SCNC extends a huge shoutout to Studio City resident Joanna Calabrese for her invaluable help in organizing this monthly event alongside Epstein.

We also want to recognize the Volunteers Cleaning Communities (VCC), who have been cleaning our streets 7 days a week for the last 5 years. Their dedication is the backbone of our community's cleanliness! Finally, a massive thank you to every volunteer who made this Earth Day 2026 event a win for the environment.
